Read More These Bison Design survival bracelets are cool. True, there are better quality bracelets out there on the internet. True, there are dozens of YouTube videos and internet sites that can teach you how to make your own. Especially for those of us old enough to remember macrame or like to practice knot tying, you can buy 100' of paracord in all kinds of colors and make dozens of them. But if you don't want to do all of that, these bracelets are cool, seem sturdy to me, and I think they look awesome. I would never depend on a bracelet for survival and will still always have paracord in my "10 essentials" hiking survival supplies. -

Read More The paracord bracelet worked fine. The clasp was falling apart by the time I actually used it in the field. The previous reviewer commented on how nice it would be to re-tie it, and there are a number of websites that will teach you how to do that - or you could talk to someone who used to be in the military.I wouldn't recommend this to a friend because there are other, higher quality alternatives in the marketplace. REI doesn't want me to reference other retailers, so let's just put it this way: it rhymes with shmurvival shtraps. They will replace any used bracelet/dog collar/watch band they make [...] Also, perhaps an even better deal is just creating one yourself. Google it. -

Read More This is a cool looking and very functional bracelet. I wear it all the time and am looking forward to showing it off when i use it. The only bad thing (besides only having one color) is that I've looked on REI's website and bison designs website and there are no instructions on how to tie it back together as a bracelet. I'm sure they're worth another [$] if you really had to use it but a reusable bracelet would be nice.
